Serving the Body of Christ…
Who Is Jesus Christ?
The politically correct thing to say today is that all paths lead to God. Even the pope chants this mantra, telling even atheists that they can be saved as long as they are good people. Let’s consider whether this is true or not.
But first, we must lay the foundation. If we can’t agree on the foundation, we can never come to a conclusion.

There are a multitude of “holy” books that support each religion everywhere, each making vast claims, each stating that they are the only true religion. Which is true? How can anyone know?
When Jesus Christ asked Peter, one of his followers, to define what he believes about Christ, Peter answered:
“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Matthew 16:16
Then Jesus went on to say that this knowledge comes only by revelation:
vs 17:
“Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah,
for flesh and blood has not REVEALED this to you,
but my Father who is in heaven.”
And so, to try to argue on this subject with the human mind is fruitless. Everyone believes what he believes and human argument won’t persuade them differently. It can only be REVEALED.
Scriptures go on to confirm that statement and to expound on it further:
“But the natural man does not receive
the things of the Spirit of God,
for they are foolishness to him;
nor can he know them,
because they are spiritually discerned.”
1st Corinthians 2:14
So once again the Scripture says that human persuasion won’t work.
So then, here we need to part ways with those who cannot part from the traditions of their fathers. Human argument will not persuade them.
Jesus told the story of a man named Lazarus who was in heaven, and a rich man who was in hell. The man in hell asked that someone from the dead be sent to his five brothers so that they would not come to this place of torment that he was in. The answer from heaven said ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.” Luke 16:31
In other words, a supernatural sign won’t bring an unbeliever to the Lord. It is only the words of God, found in the Bible, that can draw them. So …I will proceed to bring what the Bible has to say about Jesus Christ. If anyone has read this far but is not willing to consider the word of God, let us part ways here, the rest will be of no avail to you.
Those who desire to know the truth, however, will consider what the word of God, the Bible, has to say about Jesus Christ – in the hope of finding in him …TRUTH. Jesus Christ said, “Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice.” John 18:37

This is a passage that many stumble on, because right from the get-go Jesus begins with the fact that there is no other way to God. The very exclusivity of this proclamation is what many cannot accept. Again – if you cannot accept what he has to say about himself, let us part ways. Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father. There is no other way.
He had to be sinless in order to qualify to atone for sinful man and only God is sinless. He also had to be man, because only a man could die on the cross as the atonement for mankind.
So let’s take a look at what the Scriptures have to say about Jesus Christ.
The Scriptures say that Jesus Christ is God
The Scriptures tell us to prove doctrine by finding the doctrine confirmed in several places:
“By the mouth of two or three witnesses
every word shall be established.”
2nd Corinthians 13:1
1. So here’s the first:

Jesus Christ is God in the flesh
The mystery of godliness is this:
God was manifested in the flesh.
1st Timothy 3:16
2. A second witness:

A CHILD is born who is everlasting,
who is the mighty GOD:
“For unto us a CHILD is born,
unto us a Son is given;
and the government will be upon his shoulder.
Wonderful, Counselor, MIGHTY GOD,
ETERNAL FATHER, Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6

3. And a third witness:

Thomas’s confession
“And Thomas answered and said to him,
‘my Lord and my GOD!’” John 20:28
Thomas was one of the apostles who had walked with Jesus throughout his ministry on earth. After Christ was raised from the dead, Thomas couldn’t believe it ― until Jesus came to him and showed him the nail prints in his hands.
There are more Scriptures showing the deity of Christ, listed here briefly:

who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.”
Romans 9:5
