There Is No Sin, They Say?

One of the teachings of the New Age movement is that there is no sin, that sin is just something that we were erroneously taught by “organized religion,” which they love to put down.
For example, Oprah Winfrey says:
“There is no sin; it has no consequence.”
“A Course in Miracles,” Workbook pg 183
Vol 2, p. 179
“…sin is not real, and all that you believe must come
from sin will never happen, for it has no cause”
Supposedly these words were channeled by a spirit identifying itself as “Jesus Christ” to Dr. Helen Schucman who wrote the 3-volume book.
Let’s compare them with what the real Jesus said:
“I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
Mark 2:17
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
1st John 1:8
“So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
Matthew 5:29
“For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin. As it is written: ‘There is none righteous, no, not one.’”
Romans 3:9-10
“Therefore, just as through one man, sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned..”
Romans 5:12
“Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures…”
1st Corinthians 15:3
“…lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”
Hebrews 3:13
“…when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.”
James 1:15
“Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
James 4:8
“If the righteous one is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?”
1st Peter 4:18
“God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell…”
2nd Peter 2:4
“I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.”
Matthew 9:13
“This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners…”
1st Timothy 1:15
“In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atonement for our sins.”
1st John 4:10
“Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.”
Romans 6:12
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 6:23
“Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear.”
1st Timothy 5:20
“And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many.”
Hebrews 9:27-28
“…if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.”
James 5:19-20
“…choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin…”
Hebrews 11:25
“…let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us…”
Hebrews 12:1
“…to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”
Jude 1:15
So who are you going to believe? The denials of the ever-popular Oprah Winfrey and others like her? Or the Word of God? Your conclusion will determine your fate.
